I’m Carrie LaShell, a Walnut Creek Realtor with eXp Realty serving homeowners and buyers throughout the San Francisco East Bay. I specialize in helping adults 50 and older downsize and rightsize, supporting families selling a parent’s home, and guiding clients buying or selling through life’s big changes.

Sometimes that next chapter means less house to maintain and more time for the things you love. My approach combines practical strategy with personal support. For sellers, that includes deciding which improvements are worth making, preparing and staging the home, developing a pricing and marketing strategy, and coordinating the details through closing. For buyers, it means understanding your priorities, exploring neighborhoods, and helping you evaluate your options with confidence.

Having helped my own family navigate a move into assisted living and the sale of a longtime home, I understand how closely the emotional and practical decisions can be connected. I help clients break the process into manageable next steps and connect with additional resources when needed.

I grew up in a real estate family, so getting my real estate license felt very natural, and a joyful return to something I’ve always known and loved. Our family still does business in both California and Nevada.

My background also includes owning a fitness center, a beauty boutique, and an image and wardrobe styling business. The common thread has always been building trusting relationships and helping people feel confident during times of change. My styling experience also gives me a valuable eye for presentation when preparing a home for sale.

Community has always been an important part of my life. Each holiday season, I raise money and collect donations for Christmas for Everyone, along with other organizations supporting children and families. Throughout the year, I also organize local fundraising and food collection efforts for Monument Crisis Center when they need it.

I love bringing neighbors, family, friends, and clients together for different events that build connections and create a sense of community. Giving back and bringing people together are two of my favorite ways to support our East Bay community.

I’ve called the East Bay home for more than 20 years and live in Martinez with my husband, Tom, and our two Shih Tzus, Chloe and Lola. I serve Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill, Concord, Martinez, Lafayette, Danville, Alamo, San Ramon, and surrounding East Bay communities.

Outside of real estate, I love traveling, shopping, skiing, and spending time with family and friends. Many of my clients become friends, and those relationships are one of my favorite parts of this work.
