East Bay Communities: A Local's Guide for Your Next Chapter

Every town in the East Bay has its own personality. Some are walkable and lively. Some are quiet and tucked into the hills. Some give you more home for your money.

Choosing where to live next is about more than price. It's about how you want to live in this chapter.

Here's my honest, local take on the communities I know best.

Explore by community

Walnut Creek. The hub. Walkable downtown, open space, BART, and Rossmoor for 55+.

Pleasant Hill. The sweet spot. Single-story ranch homes, friendly neighborhoods, minutes from everything.

Lafayette. Small-town charm, the Reservoir, top schools, and a lot of hillside homes.

Martinez. Waterfront history and real value. Home of Hidden Lakes, my neighborhood.

Concord. Space and value, a true town square, and Mount Diablo out the back door.

Danville. The classic hometown. Hartz Avenue, great schools, and Mount Diablo views.

Alamo. Big lots, privacy, and country living between Walnut Creek and Danville.

Orinda. Wooded hills, Theatre Square, and the quickest trip to the city.

San Ramon. Newer homes, great parks, and City Center Bishop Ranch.

Not sure which one fits?

That's what I'm here for. Most of my clients are weighing two or three towns at once, especially when they're downsizing or rightsizing. We'll talk through how you want to live, then find the place that fits.

Let's talk. No pressure, just a plan.
